Monica Garrett
Garretts Scripted Corner
Monica Garrett, M.A., is the compassionate founder of Garretts Scripted Corner, a healing-centered literary space that helps children and families navigate grief through storytelling. With deep roots in Cleveland, Ohio and a background that includes military service, grief coaching, and authorship, Monica channels her personal journey into a mission of support and restoration. Her collection of children’s books creates age-appropriate, tender pathways through the complexities of loss—reminding young minds (and their caregivers) that healing is a journey, not a race.
Since launching Garretts Scripted Corner in October 2022, Monica has become a trusted voice in the grief and mental health community. Whether through author visits, book readings, or one-on-one grief coaching sessions, her presence brings empathy and education to families facing some of life’s hardest moments. Monica's dedication to storytelling as a therapeutic tool has sparked meaningful conversations in classrooms, homes, and community spaces—especially among youth learning to cope with profound emotional changes.
